My Goals and Aspirations: Then and Now

Travel Internationally

2017: This year I am hoping to visit Canada. Toronto is as close as Iowa now. I've been back to Iowa this year and will find myself in Iowa (again) and Miami this year for some family weddings. There has also been talks from my SO that Put-in-Bay is on the agenda this summer. As well as camping trips, 2017 is rounding out to be full of new adventures. Stay tuned!

2016: I traveled in January 2016 across the sea to Germany! I was very excited to have met that goal and visit with family as well as explore the unknown (to me).

2012: I would love to travel across the sea and into Germany where I have family. Working with people with in the US and internationally would be intriguing

Get a Culinary Degree

2015: I still really enjoy cooking and often use the hashtag #ruleofyum when I post images on Instagram of food I'm cooking or being served. The idea behind the hashtag stems from a YouTube Channel, Rule of Yum.

2012: I would adore to be a chef. I enjoy to cook and the immediate satisfaction from cooking and seeing individuals reactions to creations. Especially when they like the dishes.

To be gainfully employed

2017: I am working as a Senior Staffing Specialist at a mid size office, finding Nurses that want to get into travel work. The adventure continues in Ohio as I look for work that fills that travel need for myself. Although my present coworkers keep me on my toes and envious of their own travels!

2016: I worked with a fast paced company that pushed what I thought I couldn't do and past any and all goals set for me. It was a thrill and I would adore to work under that kind of pressure again.

2015: I began my adventure in Ohio where I am gainfully employed. It is not however for an online magazine. As much as I enjoy the editing and behind the scenes action of online. There is something to be said about social interactions. Nothing seems to replace a face-to-face conversation.

2012: I wold like to be gainfully employed in Oregon. Especially to be employed by an online magazine.

To graduate college with a 3.5 GPA

2015: Not saying I haven't worked hard for my GPA, but I have also enjoyed spending time with friends and growing those relationships that will last a lifetime. Is it where I would like it to be? No. Am I okay with it? Yes. I attend a university where they cut my minor (one of many), are in the top 100 schools for my first major and filled with people that I wouldn't trade for anything.

2012: I am always working hard to raise my GPA, and keep it high.

To intern in Jamaica

2015: So I may not have interned with family friends in Jamaica, but I have to say the experience that I've gained right here in the Cedar Valley is immense and I know it is helping me to grow as an individual and in my career.

2012: I would love to intern with family friends that work in Jamaica.
